-
Wind speeds
The range of wind speeds was expanded from 115 mph to 180 mph to 90 mph to 180 mph
-
Wind zones
Wind zones were simplified to only include Zones 1, 2, and 3
-
Lighting
New provisions were added for light efficacy in walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, refrigerated warehouse coolers, and refrigerated warehouse freezers
-
Occupant sensor controls
The list of space types where occupant sensor controls must be installed was expanded to include corridor spaces
The Florida Building Commission adopts an updated edition of the Florida Building Code every three years. The code may also be amended between updates to address conflicts, update standards, and incorporate the Florida Building Commission’s interpretations.
